BO SPENCER

Kentucky native, Bo Spencer, is a visual artist based in southern California.  He’s worked across a variety of mediums/surfaces including canvas, prints, skateboards, backpacks, denim jackets and 3D assemblages. Self-taught, he finds it extremely important to constantly develop/cultivate his craft by exploring new styles and techniques. He spent his early days in LA on the Venice Beach boardwalk selling canvas, sketches, and painting obscure items like doors and the occasional refrigerator.  Bo has painted murals across SoCal from Los Angeles to Big Bear and Yucca Valley. He’s donated canvas originals for charity auctions and painted a series of Gibson Guitars for TJ Martell Foundation, which funds children’s cancer and leukemia research.  Bo has collaborated with a number of street wear brands and created designs for several skate/surf companies. He’s worked commercially with MLB, BET, and Maytag Appliance for murals and live-painting events. His work varies from masked men, abstract portraits, meditating astronauts to his signature gypsies and tigers. Non-stop work ethic paired with his bold color schemes and clean line work, Bo is working to solidify his own lane in today’s evolving creative landscape.
